As new home builders in Coomera we have built many new homes for first home buyers, investors and growing families in this area, so let’s dig deeper into identifying a bit more about this suburb located in the beautiful Gold Coast.
Spread over 24.6 square kilometres, Coomera is a large suburb in the northern Gold Coast. Situated to the eastern side of the M1 Highway and separated from the more southerly Gold Coast suburbs by the Coomera River. As revealed by the last census data, Coomera is the fastest growing area on the Gold Coast, with a population growth of 51.4 percent between 2011 and 2016. With upgrades scheduled for roads, public transport and community facilities as well as the brand-new Coomera Town Centre, there is plenty of infrastructure improvement underway to cater for the population growth.
Things that we love about being new home builders in Coomera include
Let us as your new home builders in Coomera tell you more about the location and transport
Coomera is located in the northern growth corridor of the Gold Coast, close to suburbs like Pimpama, Ormeau and Kingsholme that are also experiencing major development. On the southern side of the Coomera River sits Hope Island and to the east, Coomera Island and South Stradbroke Island.
Coomera is probably most famous for being home to the majority of the Gold Coast’s theme parks which are a big drawcard for tourism in the area. Just off the highway, you’ll find Dreamworld and White-water World, both owned by Ardent Leisure. Down the highway just a little further in neighbouring Oxenford is Movie World and Wet n’ Wild.
From the Coomera train station, trains run to Varsity Lakes, up to Brisbane and the International and Domestic Airports. It takes approximately an hour on the train to travel to Brisbane and just shy of an hour and a half to the airports. There are also plenty of bus routes that run through the suburb. With a location right on the highway, travelling via the M1 up and down the coastline is very convenient. Coomera is connected to Coomera Island, so making your way there is simple. Getting to South Stradbroke Island is not quite so simple (if you don’t have your own boat that is).
Boats leave from Sanctuary Cove Marina, which is around three kilometres as the crow flies from the centre of Coomera.
There are so many home builders in Coomera due to so much land being available at any given time to build on.
Coomera is currently home to several house and land developments, some offering river frontage and others offering large lot sizes and family amenity. Foreshore Coomera by Stockland is the largest land estate under development in the area. Stages in this estate are currently selling fast, this master-planned estate also includes 51 hectares of conservation area, retaining the focus on green space in the suburb. Also in Coomera is Otto Estate, with over 100 house and land packages available. While house and land packages are the most popular type of development in the area, there are also a number of new townhouses and villas for sale not just in Coomera, but the surrounding suburbs, too.
In terms of public infrastructure, the opening of the first stage of Coomera Town Centre in October last year marked the start of a new era for the area. This $1.5 billion development includes a Westfield with 140 speciality stores as well as entertainment venues, an alfresco dining precinct, over 2000 car parks and large open green spaces. Recently, a footprint has also been declared for a north-south corridor on the M1 highway. This six-lane wide corridor will extend 36.5 kilometres between Stapylton and Nerang passing through Coomera, however, no dates have been announced for construction to begin on this.
